Meditation is WASSUP!!!!!!

Does more clarity of mind, better health, heightened creativity, physical performance, and increased energy appeal to you? If so, then trying meditation may be well worth it. Besides all the benefits of this ancient practice, meditation may be just what you need to realign your life in these strange times we find ourselves. The great news is that meditation is for everyone! There are so many ways that one can meditate, that is almost impossible to not find a type of mediation that will suit and interest you.
What is meditation? It is the simplest thing one can do in life, but at the same time, it engages the deepest and most profound levels of who you are. It is the harmonizing of the mental, physical, and emotional body to create unity and call all your fragmented pieces back. Meditation is an experience that engages all aspects of oneself. Meditation involves a quietening of the conscious mind and being in a receptive state. In this state, we become open to receive inspiration and messages from one’s higher self. Listening to the divine within.
The reason I have decided to write about the importance of meditation and provide some guidance for those who have not yet tried it is because meditation has changed my life. I have not only suffered with anxiety, depression, and OCD most of my life, I have always had a very pressurized career. With a full-time corporate career and running my own business, most ask me how I manage to get everything done. I truly believe my meditation practice has supported me to stay focused and happy.
If you want to meditate daily, it is advisable to schedule time every day that works for you. You may think that you do not have time for this, what I have found is that I have less time when I stop meditating. If you want to influence your meditation experience, it is advisable to keep your physical body in a healthy state, such as improving your diet and incorporating exercise. I have found that meditating before you eat and watching the information you consume prior to meditation really helps deepen the experience. A couple of relaxing breathing exercises prior to entering a meditative state really helps relax your mind. Observing your breath and setting an intention just before meditation time is a wonderful way to get into state.
Having a technique at the start of the meditation to ground, connect, balance, cleanse, and protect is recommendable and taught to students of Metaphysics. Achieved through a short visualization technique. Imagine yourself growing roots from your feet into the ground. Open your crown chakra and allow universal conscious energy to stream in to connect. In your mind’s eye, see the grounding and connecting energies flowing up and down your spine in perfect unison for balance. Step into a body of water at the perfect temperature for you to cleanse old thought patterns and stale energy. Once cleansed, imagine yourself stepping into a transparent silver bubble of protection, which you can grow, to the perfect size for your day.
Entering into meditation with a mantra or affirmation is a creative way to align and still the mind. The most effective affirmations are short and evoke an emotion. Should your mind drift, focus on the affirmation, and get back in touch with the feeling behind the words. My affirmation for this week is, “I am divine!”
Those who meditate are able to be present to their lives, unlike most who allow the monkey mind to rule their feelings. Thoughts about the past and the future only enslave one to a life of anxiety and permit the present moment, which is all that is real, pass us by. One’s consistent repetitive thoughts, often become identified with, which create a false sense of self, and this is where we lose our power.
Meditate magickal creatures; you will never regret adding this practice to your daily life!
